Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) is a massive panel product manufactured from standard dimensional lumber that offers a sustainable, cost-effective, and human centered construction alternative to concrete and steel. CLT can be used in many structural applications including floors, walls, roofs, shearwalls, elevator cores, and stairs and is available in architectural, industrial, and non-visual finishes. Our automated, state-of-the-art factory produces visually superior, edge-glued CLT panels made from sustainably sourced SPF lumber inputs. At 3.5m maximum width, our press produces one of the widest panels available, delivering enhanced efficiency to any build.
Glulam is a versatile engineered wood product made from machine stress rated SPF dimensional lumber that is bonded together with strong, waterproof adhesives to form larger columns and beams. Glulam offers a sustainable, cost-effective, construction alternative to concrete and steel. It can be used as a column, beam, rafter, purlin, or brace. It is suited for use in many diverse applications, including residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. Glulam can be manufactured in a range of sizes and our 3D modelling software and 5-axis CNC technology ensures every member is fabricated to exacting tolerances.
Cross-Laminated Insulated Panels (CLIPs) are a cost-effective, customizable, complete building envelope solution made from CLT. CLIPs are prefabricated off-site in a controlled factory environment and add value to projects by shortening overall construction timelines, facilitating rapid building enclosure, and increasing both the quality and energy performance of the building envelope. Although they are prefabricated components, CLIPs provide a bespoke solution that can be designed to meet the needs of each project. The wall assembly can be structural or non-structural and customized to achieve any R-value or thermal criteria including Passive House. They can be built to varying degrees of completion in the factory where windows, doors and cladding can all be pre-installed, and are suitable for both all-wood and hybrid construction.
BOXX Panels have a top and bottom layer of CLT separated by glulam or engineered wood joists. These prefabricated mass timber components are well-suited for use as structural floor and roof elements in buildings 2-12 storeys and above. The cores of the panels can be filled (optionally) with insulation or used to run services. These prefabricated cassettes have the capacity to efficiently span long distances between supporting structural members.
Nano CLT is a thin, 3-layer version of CLT. Though often used in tandem with thicker panels to create consistency in appearance between structural CLT elements and decorative interior walls, they have many uses as a stronger, more stable, and visually appealing alternative to plywood, 2×6 decking, or stair treads. It can also be used for cabinetry and furniture.
